How this site handles your data

§ Who is responsible

This site is operated by Kevin Colaco ("we"). For anything related to your data, contact communications@contextswarming.com. For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, we are the data controller for the information described below.

§ What we collect

If you sign up to track this concept, we store your email address, which of our concept sites you signed up on, and a timestamp. That is the entire subscriber record. We do not ask for your name and we do not enrich the record with data from other sources.

We do not intentionally store IP addresses in our subscriber database. Technical information, including IP addresses, may be processed transiently for security and abuse prevention — for example, to rate-limit signup attempts and to filter automated bots. This information is used only for those purposes.

§ Why, and on what legal basis

We use your email address for one purpose: sending occasional updates about this concept and the market around it. We rely on your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you give by submitting the signup form after reading the notice next to it. You can withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal doesn't affect the lawfulness of anything done before it.

We do not sell your personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for automated decision-making. This is also our position under US state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act and the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, whether or not those laws technically apply to a project of this size.

§ Where it's stored

Subscriber records are stored in Cloudflare Workers KV, operated by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), acting as our processor under Cloudflare's Data Processing Addendum, which incorporates Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers. Data may be processed on Cloudflare infrastructure outside your country, including in the United States.

If we later connect an email delivery provider to actually send updates, your email address will also be processed by that provider, and we will name it here before any email is sent.

§ Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising cookies or behavioral tracking. Technical security services may process limited device or network information to prevent abuse — for example, Cloudflare Turnstile, which we may use to distinguish humans from bots on the signup form. Any analytics we use are cookieless and aggregate.

§ How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it, or this project shuts down — whichever comes first. There is no secondary use and no archive beyond routine, short-lived infrastructure backups.

§ Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy in a portable format, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email communications@contextswarming.com from the address in question and we will act on it. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

Every email we send will include a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes you from the list; you can separately request full deletion of your record.

§ Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the record.

§ Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If we ever start doing something meaningfully different with your data, we'll ask for consent again rather than relying on a silent policy update.
